My personal favourite event in Kuching, the mooncake festival celebration. But its has been getting smaller and less organized lately. Most likely due to recent economic downturn, H1N1 or….”political reasons” . There used to be performing live bands, chinese traditional music. Its an annual event with the “inter-cultural” theme, where most ethnics and race will come together and enjoy or perform in this …

Rom Homestay or Rom orchid garden is one of the pioneer in Kuching offering homestay services to visitors. It is a one of the kind homestay in Kuching which is located about 15 minutes drive from the city center. Like no other, its more than just a homestay, it has a open atmosphere restaurant which serves original recipes with spices and ingredient from the home grown garden. So you can be assured that its all fresh.

Went to this Selera Kak Mah at King center area in Kuching. Ordered this Nasi Pattaya for only RM4.00. For this kind of portion and food mixture, you usually need to pay for about 6-12 ringgit. I would say this is very cheap for what I ordered. Very nicely prepared and taste very good. They have other food like Nasi lemak as well. The stall is the one at the front lot on the right side.

As for the one posted above, you can get it at Lee’s Cafe or “Lao Li” at stutong area. Its just on the side of the Stutong Market.
The verdict, it comes with quite …

Anyway, I love the Curry Puff and the Sio Bao there, especially when its still hot and right out from the oven. Its the best in Kuching in my opinion. Sio bao …
